Over 200 000 euro raised the initiative in support of disadvantaged young people from Hamburg with the match Hamburg vs. World’s superheroes.
In front of 20 500 spectators on the full stadium Millerntor in the port city Germany’s mixed team defeated Hamburg with 2:1. Goals for the winners were scored by Christian Wörns and Olaf Tamm and for the hosts by Sergej Barbarez.
One of the most prominent Bulgarian footballers from the unforgettable American summer Krasimir Balakov also played in the game and was applauded several times for masterful performances. Krasi didn’t manage to score a goal but loyal to his sense and clear-sighted about the game he gave many jewelers passes to his team-mates followed by spectacular strikes for delight of the multiple audiences.
The eighth edition of “Legends’ day” was very successful and the total sum raised by the football holidays has reached 1 200 000 euro up to now.
